Citizen Advocacy Workshops
The Feminist Women’s Health Center
is dedicated to educating our supporters and community partners
on the “how-to’s” of advocacy.
Every year before the state legislature
convenes, we hold a day-long workshop on a Saturday in early January
to train advocates. This workshop is geared to first-timers and
those who want to refresh previously learned skills and focuses
on being an effective advocate at the state level. Although the
skills and information can be readily applied to national level
issues, too.
The Feminist Center also offers to
take a shortened version of this workshop on the road to your college
group, a social justice group, a temple or a church group, or class.
We are glad to offer an important program that will help your supporters,
members, and volunteers become a voice for the causes important
to you.
Contact Janelle at (404.248.5445) or email
her at community@feministcenter.org
for more information about the workshops.
