Supporting the Feminist Women's Health Center’s
“Campaign for Women’s Health & Dignity” is as easy
as having friends over for coffee and dessert!
Be a House Party Host!
Did you know that hosting a house party can help protect women’s health and dignity? There are several bills already in our state legislature that are threatening women’s health, including one measure that even intends to ban major forms of birth control and abortion. We know this sounds extreme, and it is, but massive organizing and funding to support this measure has been occurring right now around the state. We cannot risk it happening here and we need your help.
Throughout the state, generous and dedicated people just like you will host wine and cheese parties, coffee klatches, and dessert parties for their friends, families, neighbors, and co-workers to benefit the work and legislative campaign of the Feminist Women’s Health Center. We will provide a speaker to talk about the threats, our plan, and what people can do to help. Donations will be requested but not required.
With a very challenging legislative session coming up next month, it is vital that we reach out to supportive people about these threats. We especially need house parties scheduled during the legislative session months, January through April.
IT’S THIS SIMPLE:
- Contact Whitney Watts (404.248.5445), whitneyw@feministcenter.org to schedule a date during the months of January through April for a house party. A four-week timeline for planning a host party is recommended.
- Send Whitney your completed Party Profile (with date, time, location, contact information and theme, if any), and plan your party. If you need for us to provide cheese, desserts, or some kind of appetizer, please indicate on your Party Profile. We ask that you provide all liquid refreshments such as coffee, wine, sodas, or other beverages.
- Depending on your wishes, you can send us your Guest List and we will send invitations to your guests, and they will RSVP to you. If you prefer, we can send you a sample “Evite” or hard-copy invitation for you to send out directly.
- Have a fabulous house party on the date scheduled!
- You can make a difference and help us build support and educate on the issues. You can help provide opportunities for your friends, family, neighbors, & co-workers to do something to help protect their rights and health, and for those they love.
