The Feminist Women's Health Center strives to provide a safe, accepting environment for all of our clients. We are proud to offer queer-friendly gynecological services sensitive to the needs of lesbian, bisexual women, and Female-to-Male (FtM) transgendered individuals.

Lesbian, bisexual women, and FtM transgendered individuals, just like anyone else, may experience financial, cultural, or physical ability barriers to health care. They may also face unique barriers due to their sexual orientation or gender identity, such as: patronizing treatment, derogatory comments, neglect, intimidation, attempts to change their sexual orientation, hostility toward a same-sex partner, denial of care, undue roughness in the physical exam, and even sexual assault. LBTQ clients may also further fear that a breach of confidentiality will result in the loss of a job, home, community support, or the custody of children.

At the Feminist Center, we provide a safe and supportive setting for comprehensive, queer-friendly health care. We embrace an overall holistic approach to gynecological health care and wellness, and believe that education and knowledge are vital components in a women's ability to make health care decisions. Safer Sex Supplies are also available at our clinic.
