Procedure

We understand that for people who have experienced trauma and violence, having a gynecological exam or abortion can be challenging. Our healthcare providers and educators are trained to provide sensitive care that has been specifically designed for trauma survivors. We aim to create a safe space where you will be given as much control as possible over your appointment process, gynecological exam and any other procedure that you come to see us for.

What to Expect

Do not eat or drink anything after midnight before the day of your procedure.

You will undergo an ultrasound exam to confirm the length of pregnancy.

We will perform routine blood tests before the procedure.

We provide a private counseling session with a trained and compassionate health educator to help patients cope with their trauma and abortion care procedure. We want our patients to have a safe place, to feel informed and ready for the abortion procedure. We will also work with you and law enforcement to arrange for DNA analysis, if needed.

Your procedure will depend on how far along you are in your pregnancy. For more information see medication abortion or surgical abortion.

We offer and provide additional counseling and support referrals to patients if they feel the need. We also welcome any other suggestions or ideas that you may have to make your visit a healing experience. You will receive specific aftercare instructions at the end of your appointment. You can also read them here. In case of an emergency, please contact us at 404-728-7900 or 1-800-877-6013.

See our pricing page for estimated prices. Final prices will be determined at the time of your visit and depending on your particular medical history and needs. Financial assistance is available.
