The 2013 State Legislative Session begins on Monday, January 14, 2013. This is the first year of a 2-year session which means that all bills, which were introduced in the previous years, must be re-introduced in 2013.
There are 180 State Representatives and 56 State Senators who will meet for a 40-day session, however those 40 days are not always continuous and the session usually ends in late March or sometime in April.
During the session, you can count on the Feminist Women’s Health Center’s Legislative Advocacy Team – our dynamic Lobbyist, two FWHC Legislative Advocacy employees, and three interns -- to be ever advocating for reproductive rights, health, and justice for all. Please review our 2013 Legislative Agenda for further information and get involved.
